Qipao for the foot

I prototyped this high heel inspired by Qipao, a traditional Chinese dress popular in the early to mid 20th century. Form wise I was exploring how a shoe can resemble a piece of clothing for the foot, and how the foot can be used to complete the form of a shoe. It's made with hand dyed vegetable tanned leather.
